At the "Fresh Market" in Aventura FL, we get excellent prime hereford whole tenderloin for $12 to $14 per pound, usually that's about 7 or 8 pounds worth, but we just cut up the filets about 3 inches thick and vacuum seal/freeze them. Beautifully tender and flavorful.
...And, not to be a dick or anything, but who thinks of Applebees or Longhorn as places to get a decent steak????
