I do think there are many pro-gun people who hate Obama because of his moves now to potentially limit access to some types of guns, but I also think there is a good section of the conservatives that hate him because he is black, liberal and they think he is a Muslim.
Also, you are blowing things out of proportion.
First, there is not going to be a time when the police come to your door and demand you give them all your guns. It just isn't going to happen so calm down. Second, how many guns a person owns personally and what type of guns those are have had zero affect on the outcome of major US war in well over 100 years.
I am not for gun control, but I'm also not someone who is coming undone thinking they about to lose every gun they could ever own and the government is about to enact military law and we are going to have fight back. |

You seem not to understand what i was pointing out.
First you have to register your guns.
Once they are registerd you may only keep them in a government approved gunsave bolted onto a concrete wall in your house.
Only you can open it if someone else can your guns are illegal and will be taken away.
How about you drive to your girlfriend and are stopped on the side of the road by a cop, you are arested because a database shows you have bought a gun in your life but never registered it. Now you get jailed for many years for having access to illegal weapons.
Aparently you do not know how government works.
Government never ever thinks "So now everything is perfect now we can sit back and relax."
after they take semi automatic weapons(80% of the weapons in usa) there will be an other shooting with many deaths. The government will then take the next weapons shotguns or pistols or single shot rifles.
They will never stop and think the homicide levels are ok. They will always try to take the next weapon.
In holland slingshots are forbidden, most knifes are forbidden, crossbows are forbidden, pepperspray is classified as a millitary weapon and can get you put in prison for many many years.

How about all the guns and your knifes and your right to defend yourself.
Sure in the law it is possible to have a gun, after it is registerred bullets counted and inspected yearly by the cops in your home if it is locked in a gunsave bolted to a concrete wall.
Oh and having an armed population stopped many countries from being occupied just in last decade see Iraq and Afghanistan.
