Great point. That's why I don't understand why high level politicians and celebrities have armed body guards. As you so rightly point out, guns obviously cannot protect them, so why bother? Why doesn't the secret service simply hire really big guys to scare people away, and stop with all the handguns, snipers, etc.... Look at all the anti-gun politicians that have carried themselves.... don't they realize that those guns won't do anything to protect them? We need to disarm the secret service and all of these body guards that celebs use. Obviously it doesn't help. Heck, there are police that are killed even with them carrying guns. This story is all the proof I need.
