That is a tricky question, maybe it would be easier to answer if we knew what kind of wood their dining room table is made out of... or if it isn't wood at all, but perhaps glass or stainless steel. Maybe even a rustic wraught iron type table.
I don't feel comfortable answering this until I know this information!
