Yes, you're right but at least in the GOP there are some people trying to make a difference and many conservative activists mostly Ron Paul supporters are engaged in making a difference through the primary process i.e dumping Richard Lugar, Bob Bennett from Utah and others who have sold conservatives out. They're not a critical mass yet but it's an anti-establishment movement that is expanding. The Democrat Party is completely gone I'm afraid.

There are a tiny % of legislators in both parties that aren't completely corrupt and are trying to make a difference. Like 1-2%
