I'm pretty sure Penn and Teller don't make government propaganda movies. They're just two extremely intelligent guys with an uncanny ability to sniff out bullshit.
When we landed on the moon we placed a large mirror on its surface. We did this for several reasons, one of which being so we can bounce lasers off it and track the moon's distance from Earth. It's because of this mirror that we know the moon is slowly spiraling away from Earth. This mirror is still there and is undeniable proof that we did in fact land on the moon.
I've found that most lunar landing conspiracy nuts are merely people who simply don't understand physics and astronomy.
