Beyonce? I think she's in that Britney Spears category of girls with an image, a little vocal abitliy (very little) and a damn good producer in the studio.

(Not 100% convinced Beyonce actually carried her own baby... so I'm not a blind rabid fan, just really like her)
(You of all people should know that EVERYBODY practices with their band if it's not their regular one... everyone, for everything... probably not people that play gigs for 200 people max, but anyone with that much riding on the line risks nothing)
