I have no clue where it was linked from now as it's been some time. However the model Bushmaster they said he used was bought from Walmart. In one of the many articles written on it the gun that was linked was pulled from Walmart's webpage and it was said that it had the .22 conversion.
Also even CNN article when it happened clearly quotes the "Connecticut State Police Lt. Paul Vance" as saying the primary weapon used in the attack was a "
Bushmaster AR-15 assault-type weapon,".
from CNN
Adam Lanza brought three weapons inside Sandy Hook Elementary school on December 14 and left a fourth in his car, police said. Those weapons were a Bushmaster AR-15 rifle and two handguns -- a Glock 10 mm and a Sig Sauer 9 mm. In the car he left a shotgun, about which police have offered no details. Lanza used one of the handguns to take his own life, although police haven't said whether the gun was the Glock or the Sig Sauer.

The shot gun in the trunk that the gun nuts keep saying was proof there was no Assault Rifle is the shot Gun that the police said he did not use. Obviously, it takes too much brain power for them to put 1+1 together and realize that yea the guy didn't use a shot gun that was in his car trunk, but doesn't mean he didn't have an Assault Rifle.
The cops have said over and over it was an Assault Rifle used. The only people claiming otherwise are uninformed gun supporters that keep repeating the bullshit false information as if it were fact.
Even if it really wasn't a .22 converted it was still an Assault Rifle. I just brought up the .22 conversion because that's the gun I saw linked at the time of the shooting and I've seen people say it was pistol cal ammo used (.22) as the reasoning that it wasn't a Assault Rifle.
Secondary... thought on the .22 is perhaps when they talked about it then they meant that it was the .223 Remington and not the standard NATO rounds. Regardless of what ammo the police have said it was Bushmaster Ar-15.
