You saw a post on an unknown mainstream webmaster board and you just assume that no one in mainstream has been using geo targeted ads for years? Um.... Someone in mainstream has figured out that I loved Hawaii and every day I see dozens of ads for it, so I am guessing they know what they are doing.
Hell, even Blackberry has grown up and finally lost the buttons.
