I don't register or own anything in my legal name- ever. No phones, automobiles, bank accounts. Anything. Ever. I never have. The only time I ever use my given name is when I'm arrested and I only do it then because it'd be too much work not to, they'd figure it out if I didn't and it's a crime if you don't.
