Got an advanced copy of the new Nick Cave record last night. Not bad, but not what I was expecting/hoping for.
I was hoping to find a Grinderman/Dig Lazarus Dig type of sleaze rock, but instead was met with some deeply contemplative, tender, almost poetry like song with subtle melodies and minimal instrumentation.
I'll go listen to Grinderman instead as that's what I am in the mood for anyway.
So excited to see BORIS
Best japanese rock band. so fucking heavy.
