This is some of the concepts I go by :
-If it makes money replicate it.
-Taking the cheapest option will many times cost you the most.
-You can't buy time, if you are doing something someone else are capable of doing have them do it.
-Don't put all your focus on working in the past, spread your time between new and old projects to ensure your old projects are running while you develop new technologies / projects as well.
-Design your system to fail, there is no perfect scenario and no perfect world and if you are not considering what can go wrong your chances of doing it right is very small
-If you are not making mistakes you will never learn.
-Don't say yes to something you are not ready to do. It will not benefit you in the long run, if you agree to things you can't / won't do because you are afraid of rejection / saying no you will slowly burn your bridges.
-If you don't trust people you will always be alone.
