Everyone, at some point, goes on auto-pilot. It's psychological. Everyone who makes their living by themselves (not getting paid from a JOB) goes through periods where they coast and slow down. You can't keep pumping 24/7/365 forever without burning out.....

BUT - and here's the problem folks - BUT you MUST keep pumping 24/7/365 if you sell shit on the Internet!

It's human nature to find a level of comfort and stay there. "Great, I'm making x # of sales equaling x amount of $. I'm set!" Then you start to "play", or relax more, or enjoy the fruits of your labors...after all, didn't you just spend YEARS of your life in front of a computer monitor, building your online "empire"? Time to enjoy it now that sales are flowing in woohoo!

But the thing with the internet, and especially true of today's traffic, is there IS no "sustainability". Not like in the old days. You get a video on a tube, or a listing on a TGP, and you get traffic like crazy - for a day or two. By day 3 that traffic is down to10% of what it was on day 1 and by day 5 it's like you never had any traffic at all.

So this means - you guessed it! - you gotta keep pumping away every single day 'cause there's no such thing anymore as "steady" traffic.

Sales go up, sales go down, but what should never change is your EFFORT. I think of it this way: If I'm NOT doing something to increase my sales then some other person "out there" on the Internet, who I'm competing against, IS. So get working Mister Peabody!! (See, I try and take my own advice from time to time LOL)

If you want "easy" get a job. If you want "steady" get a job. If you want "freedom" and the ability to control your own destiny then work harder. It's worth it.

Good luck to us all.
Hey Mr. Peabody I get what you are saying. I've been doing this a long time and I work pretty hard. What I'm more saying is this. Let's say a sponsor is converting at 1:2000 and per join on revshare on average I make about $20 for each sale (sadly this is reality now). That is about $0.01 per click. Now let's say the same sponsor is now 1:9,000. Well now I'm better off sending those clicks to a CPC program where I can get $90 for those 9,000 clicks versus $20 from sending them to the sponsor.

This is what I am saying. That it's not worth it to be a paysite affiliate when conversions and rebills are this bad. I'm not saying that I can't make money. I can. But not as much per click as what I was making in the days where I could convert 1:500 and make an average of $40 per sale on revshare. In this way I think the standard paysite affiliate program is going to become extinct. Once you cross the 1:2000 line on revshare conversions and around 1:3500 for $35 PPS it gets to the point where the affiliate is better off selling the traffic on a CPC or CPM basis. Or maybe they should put up a dating or cam offer instead. Things were fine when paysite sponsors converted well but now that the piracy and other factors have hurt the sites it seems there are better alternatives for most affiliates unless a paysite is converting great.
