Production of hentai it is 100 times more expensive than production of porn, as it needs drawing or 3d rendering - it cost as much as porn it costed in 1970's perhaps, but sales are 2013 levels.
Also, there's lots of hentai in tubes for free, even too much (some have it in top page), you can explain it by the fact 30% of tube viewers is under 18, and under 18 guys do not buy.
