It's because they know that everything they say is bullshit. Trickle down economics, which is basically the republicans bread and butter gospel, has been proven to not work. I don't think one of them believes the BS coming of out his mouth -- as long as they get paid by the corporation that has 'em in their pocket.
Motherfucker said "more government is going to hold you back" -- then not 5 seconds after that he said he wouldn't have gone to college without a federal grant. I'd be sweaty and thirsty too if I was making bullshit contradictory statements like that on national TV.
