I've never had any problems with ICQ. Fire it up, works fine. I wasn't too keen on Skype at first, although mostly because I was afraid people was going to try to video chat with me all the time. That's great if you are cute and have perky breasts, but I don't want to see LAJ's ugly mugg every day on my screen.
However, so few people use ICQ these days that I am considering ditching ICQ completely.
