Sorry someone pointed a gun at your head. I know that must have scared you and scarred you for life. It would me for sure. But are you saying you would have been less dead if it had not been a semi automatic weapon? We live in a dangerous world. It seems like both of these gun stories have the innocent guy unarmed and the criminal is the only one with a gun. That is exactly the situation we want to avoid here in the US. Most of us here like the good guys to have a sporting chance. Almost all of our guns are semi auto. We have 200 million guns. They are not going away so these little arguments are silly. Even if you try confiscation, my gun will have been stolen when you come for it and you won't find it if you look.
