Yeah, well, the history of Mexico rarely shows any indication of much respect for individual rights.
Generations of immigrants coming into New York harbor were greeted with a beacon here that personified the spirit of Liberty - and that tells the tale.
We don't maintain any federal registry of gun owners at large. When plans for that emerge, it will seriously undercut the principle behind the Second Amendment - that a well-armed body of citizens keeps the government on its toes and acts to prevent tyanny.
Delighted to report that last weekend, another lawyer and I held a meeting to establish The Second Amendment Lawyer's Association. We hope to work aggressively to defend gun rights.
