It's also very isolated to it's south side where there is extreme poverty, gangs & drugs. Cities here with much bigger populations have less murders (NY & LA).
It depends where you at. Vast majority of Americans do not have to deal with that. Wont get shot, won't experience a school shooting, wont get robbed, etc. No matter how many guns we have.
Just like Toronto, it's mostly concentrated to the areas where you would expect it, we just have a lot more of those areas here. Entire cities with nothing for anybody, like Camden and Detroit.
Of course if you get rid of the guns the gun problem will be less, but it wont go away. And since it's not a problem for the vast majority of us, I like the freedom to own one if I wanted. |
