revolvers are semi auto in that you can pull the trigger and get another round. you want to get into mechanics, yes the bullet isn't ejected.. blah blah blah.. still bang bang bang same as any semi auto. for the purpose of what i propose, revolvers are semi auto in function even though the bullet doesn't get ejected. still one pull of the trigger for a new round with nothing else
my dad owns several over under shotguns as well as a couple of double barrel. I've fired both kinds. some have double triggers, some a switch to change barrels. whoop de do
are you going to complain that I make spelling mistakes too?
you're trying to make yourself look smart by avoiding the basic question. why do you need semi auto and handguns? if you're NOT an idiot, answer that

Funny, I shoot two shots in a row all the time at the gun club using a 12 gauge over under and don't have much of a problem hitting two targets sent up at the same time. You don't have to throw a switch to change barrels on any over under I have used, kinda defeats the purpose. And I see you still didn't look up what a single action revolver is, since it is not semi auto in any way, and I am not talking about ejecting shells.
As for your question, I agree, in Canada, you don't need a semi auto handgun because the government has already put laws in place that are so strict you can't legally use it anyway, except at the gun range. You have to call the police and tell them when you are transporting it, the exact path you are taking and the exact time. Once they start restricting stuff like that there is no point in owning it. I can't even legally fire it in my backyard, even though I live on a large acreage.
If I lived somewhere without such draconian rules, I would own one simply because they are fun to shoot. No other reason needed.
As for semi auto rifles and shotguns, why wouldn't you use them? Not having to manually eject the shells is more efficient. And because you can do cool shit like this:
