Lets see a 200+lb running back, he runs at 4.2 in a 40 yard dash - a 220+lb linebacker. runs a 4.4 in 40. Now lets image both these guys running full speed meeting head on, that's not a "tackle" that would be called a full on heed collision. these guys have the equivalent of a car crash 30 times a game.
