I7-3770 vs. Xeon E3-1240
I'm loving this I5-3570k after being subjected to an AMD cpu for awhile, but I want something with more power... Too many choices, though
What is the difference in xeon these days? They have the same cache, now. It use to be they were better because of having more cache.. I think they actually had big L1 caches.... now they all seem to have small L2 caches and big L3 caches
I've read before that having too much cache is bad sometimes.. but I don't think that's an issue on these newer processors, right? Why would the ivy cpus have less cache than a sandy bridge cpu??
Three choices
Xeon Ivy bridge
I7 Ivy bridge (8mb cache)
I7 Sandy bridge (10mb cache)
(All three support HT, I think)
I really don't care about TDW or overclocking, but I guess an unlocked multiplier would be nice
