I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in prison. All it would take is two or three people he pissed off in the past to fill out the FTC form or make a few complaints to VISA and he will be in a world of hurt one way or another. Hell even Gawker or The Consumerist might cover something like this because it's that outrageous.
