for mobile homes yes, but these are park model trailers so insurance is under our provincial automobile insurance company, not home insurance. Private insurance isn't allowed for vehicles and trailers in Manitoba, only the public insurance company monopoly.

People say monopolies are bad, and usually I'd agree, but in Manitoba we pay some of the lowest car and driver's licence fees combined than anywhere else in Canada or the USA I know of. My new truck is $800 a year and my driver's license is $35/year.

I'm thinking you're right though, for the cost it's probably worth it to get the straps even if never needed.

just wondering if anyone had experienced high winds in a park model and if it rocked or such?
