I don't really know much about this specific issue in particular but I'm an occasional listener to his podcast and in my opinion his glory days are well behind him. Don't get me wrong, he is a GREAT radio host, but if you want the real Adam listen to some old episodes of Loveline (http://lovelinetapes.com/) he is absolutely hilarious and always on point. He's lost some of his sharpness in my opinion, mostly because his newer podcasts lose traction when he's bouncing off of too many people who are also on his podcast. He shines best when he's by himself or with Dr. Drew. Most people dismiss Loveline as a show for dumb teenagers, but they actually hardly take calls... its more or less Adam ranting 20 minutes at a time and then they'll take a 3 minute call... it was a great show. Or just Youtube some of Adam's best rants:
