These are books. It's pretty clear from your post that you live in one America and think that what greets you when you step out your door every morning is universal. But truly, there is another America, and it's completely devoid of the circumstances and resources you take for granted as you maneveur through your bubble.

I'm not saying that someone needs to throw your ass out of a moving car on the corner of, say, Kensington and Allegheny in North Philly and make you actually talk to other human beings and begin the honest process of acquiring the truth about what this other, actual America accords those who are born into it. No, that would be rude. But at least read a fucking book or two.
