The US should normalize relations with Cuba and North Korea - they will with Cuba once the Castro brothers are gone. They can't normalize with NK because you can't reason with an irrational person. NK is like those isolated Japanese soldiers they found decades later on Southern Pacific islands who still thought WWII was still going on.

Not exactly. World War II came to an end in 1945 on the deck of the USS Missouri. The United States and the Democratic People's republic are still in a state of declared war. And there is little that the United States would prefer more than to see North Korea vanish from the face of the earth. They know that - and they feel the same way about us.
