Well, I can only speak for myself since I am not the rights holder.. but:
Considering I can toss it up on AEBN and get 30 percent of sales and a full 50 percent through her site I would not be a motivated seller. I am not at liberty to make a deal if it was up to me I would not let the American English rights go for less than 50 grand. The film is already streaming in French in the eu and has been sold to cable in Canada and by all accounts the clients are happy with their license. There is zero risk to the studio that buys it unless they think they can't make a profit - to which I would call bullshit because I know I could but it would take me longer and I would rather have her get the funding to continue making her movies sooner rather than later.
But it's not up to me. I am not the one selling it :-)
