Or any of those hardcore violence police videos of shooting and killing citizens and then asking questions later like in western movies. I am not pointing to US specially , I am just saying what you are saying no one of us is really free and it is illusion like many other things that people are swallowing without problem. And it will be harder and harder to remain free even so much with technology advancing and groups of people getting more and more wealth.
