I know what you are talking about. I was visiting the USA much more times than I was visiting any other country. Course I didn't have such problems because I always been there as a tourist but not as a citizen. However even I know that it's dangerous to even argue with the US police (in my country you can say them "fuck off motherfuckers!" and they won't do anything to you for that (e.g.
the policeman just tried to threatened with a weapon and has lost his job for that), but in some other countries they can shoot you dead like a dog.
