Last time I tuned into Pawn Stars, Chum and Corey were scouring the shop attempting to find where the Old Man was supposedly hiding thousands of pennies. They wound up finding them in the trunk of an old car and the whole ordeal was so terribly scripted and acted out that it gave me total douche chills.
I love learning about the various items being pawned as well but apparently the majority are planted by producers. Makes sense I guess because, really, who's going to a seedy pawn shop in Vegas to sell sunken treasure and shit? Oh well. Another "reality" show bites the dust.

I saw a picture recently of their pawn shop and because of the show the place is so packed there is a huge line out the door and like a two hour wait just to get inside. One of the episodes I saw recently Rick wanted Chum to put a bunch of coins in holders and through the whole episode he was finding different ways to fuck it up. Obviously that is not happening and is fake.
I also read that the main guys on the show don't work the counter in the store anymore because people constantly want to take pictures of them and since they are a place that gives loans there are privacy laws and the pictures can violate them.
