Which is actually a good thing, because heartbreak can also be a remarkable source for change as we attempt to distract ourselves from the hurt. When you wake up in the early morning hours and cannot get back to sleep thinking about your loss, instead of laying there feeling sorry for yourself get up and do something. Get some work done, go for a run, whatever is productive and you can throw yourself into.
Don't worry about finding someone new to help alleviate the hurt: heartbreak is like catnip for chicks. As long as you are hurt, there will no shortage of chicks who will at some level recognize it and want to 'fix' you.
However, I would also recommend making the decision to stay single for at least the next six months. Relationships have a way of changing us, whether for the better or worse. Use that time to rediscover who 'you' are, and not the you that was half of that couple.
