If they don't have the funding to do what they need to do, they may as well close up shop and go work IFOR or some other useless group. Otherwise, they will continue to fail one issue after another for simply being too late to the game because of a proper lack of funding.
To be honest, if they can't get the money they need from all of their big money members, then that should be a clear signal that they are not wanted or as important as they think they are. But which of the big companies will be the first to publicly withdraw their support from the FSC? None. It's easier to go with the flow and get your tax write-off instead of looking like an asshole.
Logic says if they were as important and efficient as everyone makes them out to be, then funding shouldn't be an issue. Why don't all the big boys step up and fund them properly? I don't know if they are still needed or not to be honest, it just seems odd with all the support they have from the largest companies in the industry that they always fall short on funding. Something somewhere doesn't add up.
