dude if you understood even 20% of that i'd be impressed. the problem laymen have with reading scientific literature is that there are many references to other scientific theories you have to understand as well using language that often has a different meaning in science that if the layman doesn't really have a grasp of understanding it makes the whole venture kind of silly.
most physicists are arrogant. all i know is only 2 thousand years ago which is less than a blink of an eye in the history of the Universe the greatest minds of the day believed Earth was flat and the sky was a curved firmament - the Earth was a snow globe. 2 thousand years from now much of what the greatest minds of today theorize will look just as silly.
