This has little to do with "America" but everything to do with Valor. You keep going back to how powerful the US is, without having any consideration to the individual battles.
I'm reading a book written by a German who served on board a U Boat during WWII. They started attacking American shipping months before war was declared. Does this mean this young man did not have valor? Was he not brave? He was fighting a war the leaders of his country decided he had to fight. He had nothing to do with the decisions made above him; His job was to shoot at the enemy - either shoot or be shot.
