In the toughest mudder race though, there are penalties for not completing each obstacle, and it's obviously people that are all fully motivated.
(p.s. I've done the Spartan race, and the Warrior dash, and they were not nearly as difficult.... so imagine how easy THEY are...)

I jogged as much as I could and did all the obstacles. But it's just crappy seeing other people walk it and skip everything to get the orange headband and then they run around saying they did Tough Mudder.
It was pouring rain in ours so the entire course had been turned into a 4-6" sloppy mud fest. It was like running on ice with 5lb weights on your feet. They ended up closing the course and refunding everyone that was supposed to run it the next day because it got so bad.
Not to mention the insane lack of planning for coordination of parking... We were supposed to run at 11am, we aimed to get there at 9am (as they said traffic was getting congested). We didn't get to park until 1pm. The traffic got so bad it backed up and stopped the highway for miles. People just started parking their cars anywhere, on the highway, on the side of the street, and on sidewalks and walking 2-3 miles to the course just so they could run it. If you didn't make it by 2pm or so they turned you away and said you couldn't run it.
