I live at the very edge of the suburbs. It's nice really. In one direction we have the mall and in the other direction we have... Lots of nothing.

Driving my old Civic basically meant just having to go with the flow, and hoping something didn't happen to me that would require extreme handling abilities. That car just couldn't handle what I wanted to dish. I was going through brakes like crazy. With the brakes I have now (14" rotors on all 4 corners)... my eyeballs will pop out of my head well before I warp my rotors.

The guy who can go faster than me... I am not worried about. That's the guy who (probably) knows what he's doing.
How old are you?

Do you really need to out-accelerate, out-brake, out-corner and out-drive me.... While we are both doing 70 mph on our way to the local mall? Is your sports car going to be any different on the freeway? Sure - your ride will be louder, and less comfortable, and maybe you'll get there a full minute before me while burning three times as much gas.

If you feel the need to "out drive" everyone on a daily basis, you are just driving like an asshole. Plain and simple.

And keep in mind that statement comes from someone who has half a dozen speeding tickets at over 100 mph.
