"How can a 7 year old domain be 'offline'?"
quite easily - just do nothing. simplicity itself.
"7 years yet sat in a drawer"
domains dont go in drawers.
"with not a single backlink to enable to get it indexed?"
1. how can it get a backlink when it is "offline" ? - (see above + below)
2. HOW ON EARTH CAN IT GET "INDEXED" when it is "offline" ? (and has no backlinks because it is offline)
"I agree, I think it's banned"
but according to you - you say that an "offline" website can get "indexed" if you point links to it - no - and i am not sure that you are the most reliable person on earth.
"During the 7 years since if was reg'd I find it difficult to believe Google wouldn't index it"
well if you have a look closely its number 1 position for "adult dvd" - no hold on - its offline and has no links (because its offline)
comments are greatly appreciated from the educated.

At the very least it's been reg'd for 7 years yet sat in a drawer somewhere with not a single backlink to enable to get it indexed?
During the 7 years since if was reg'd I find it difficult to believe Google wouldn't index it. I agree, I think it's banned.
