lizards are cold-blooded, so in cold weather they move sluggishly. it's fair to say that some of these lizard descendants would become weathermen. obviously, the lizard weathermen would not say "it's cold outside." they would say "it's sluggish outside."
but none of them say that. conclusion: we are not descendants of reptiles.
