yes, their researches raises many questions-
1. did they not know moore's law is not a law?
2. did they just simple forget that so as not to mess up their timeline?
3. which moore's law did they go with?

as far as i know, amino acids did get here via asteroids/meteors, and they are the building blocks of life so i wouldn't be surprised if an amino acid can be proven to be older than earth life.
