I'm sorry if it came across as Ethnic hating, and I would be the first to agree that ALL cultures have their own idiosyncrasies and set of problems that come along with them.
But we're talking about WOMEN's issues, not general politics.
Take Russia for example. Corruption is rampant, it's basically part of the political structure. Yet you don't hear stories about Russian women getting acid thrown in their faces for refusing to marry some asshole, or couples on buses getting beaten and the guy forced to watch as his date gets gang raped as often as they do from India.
And the two monsters that raped the child, they're simply using porn to blame their unforgivable actions and not be held responsible. I'm sorry, but anyone that doesn't see that ruse is fucking retarded.
And it IS a social and cultural issue.
Even in the West, with our "liberated" mentality women still face a lot of prejudices. Guy fucks tons of women, stud. Woman fucks tons of men, whore. And this is in a culture where women have been fighting for rights and won some of them since World War 1.
But in the end those fucking asshole politicians, like all asshole politicians everywhere, will take the easy route and hang the blame on the boogie-man du jour, uselessly ban whatever the boogie-man is, have their photos taken for the papers grinning triumphantly and women will still be getting beaten, raped and misused.
Goddamn now I gotta go to the gym burn off the ball of anger I have in my gut.
