Totally True.
My elderly mother has needed more and more care over the past 5 years. Despite not requiring emergency care, I had no choice but to take her to emergency anyway and wait, one time as long as 10 hours (Arrived at 5pm, finally saw doctor at 3am).
The Canadian Medicare system is good for the most part. We get all our care, x-rays and MRI's, surgeries and hospital care for free, and drugs cheap for the most part. But the care offered in at least 1 hospital is barely adequate. Overcrowded, dirty, and severe lack of quality "wellness" care.
Medicare can work, but some Hospitals are under funded for sure.
