Merchants, yes, but usenet is free. How do you think that can be stopped, been going since before the WWW, many have tried, none have succeeded.
The thing you (collectively) don;t seem to understand is that large scale piracy existed way way waaay before upload monkeys were monetised. It's a red herring to go after them. Sure, AK has closed a few. But more have sprung up and the industry clearly thinks he is wasting his time or would support him with more than a couple of $50 donations.
I say it again, this is a waste of time. Piracy has always existed, will always exist and you should concentrate efforts on making a better lander, email, tour, payment page, prepament page and site rather than piss away time and money trying to win a fight that cannot ever be won.
