I definitely think this is the case, they probably figured the positive promotion from the show would catapult their business. Generally Ramsey gives the owner a broad time frame when he might show up so that they can catch the restaurant as it normally operates. However, with this one, it was obvious they had been tipped off as the restaurant was immaculately clean and every food item meticulously labeled.
I'm sure they fully intended to try and make it appear to Ramsey as if it was the perfect restaurant and their lack of success must be due to those "nasty bloggers" who had written bad things about them. Amy couldn't even take the slightest criticism Ramsey gave her, just kept talking as if the world was out to get her for no reason.
