I take analysis like this with a grain of salt, but it's an interesting way of looking at films.
There is no denying that Kubrick was a fantastically talented director, almost peerless in his abilities. I have read the Shining and seen the movie many times, and it's clear that Kubrick threw away most of King's novel and kept only what he was interested in. the aspects of the film that are not associated with the novel were Kubrick's ideas alone.
do I actually think Kubrick staged the moon landing footage? No. I do enjoy this approach to film analysis though.
