Baddog, I wouldn't call it profiling as profiling is usually assumed to be race related and in relation to some value judgement of right and wrong.
No value judgement of being right or wrong is being made in this case.
However, I would say that defined cultures, on a whole, do respond is a somewhat predictable ways to certain stimuli.
And, one might assume that when one has had experiences within a culture and is exposed to that same response, it is reasonable for that individual to reflect how the response given can relate to his previous experience and what stimuli might generate such a response.
I hope this make sense. On second thought, if it is profiling, I apologize. I will try to do better.
