I shot this portrait of Max about two weeks ago for a photographic series I'm working on. Even after he was railroaded by the US government, sentenced to almost four years in prison and fined $100,000, he's unbowed, enjoying life, and doing well. And he's always been generous with his time and knowledge to me. About 12 years ago, not long after I'd entered the business, he invited me to his home and gave me priceless advice and tips about the porn business.
I'm not a fan of the material he shoots, but he's a mensch.
