For poor guy just explain to him that the cam site is like a strip club.
He can go in there and sit and watch the girls all day so long as he buys at least a cheap drink that he nurses for hours, but he can't expect to get any kind of real interaction or service with the strippers unless he is willing to tip them.
Also tell him that these girls get tons of guys begging them to do stuff for free all day long. If he had a tidal wave of broke women who just wanted to talk his ear off every day while they checked out his naked body he might find it cool for a few days, but it would get old quickly.
