Remember the outrage and backlash over the Janet Jackson boobie flash at the superbowl? That was a 'family show' as well. Of course Janet's nipple was actually covered by a pastie, but the religious right of America doesn't see it that way.
Nevermind that the amount of skin Lopez is showing is nothing more than can be seen on any beach in the US, another place often frequented by families.
When someone as uncontraversial as J-lo is considered over the edge you know there's something wrong with a large part of society.
