And this would make ABSOLUTE sense if the Hackintosh process hadn't become so dead simple.

I've struggled in the past to get them running and then to work properly. This go round as been completely issue free, minus some operator error stuff like using the wrong DVI cables with my 30'' monitors. Can't really blame that on the machine.

This machine is a necessity, but the camera and lenses that shoot the footage it edits and renders, is where I splurge.

I'm a OSX user for life, but Apple's not going to be getting as much money out of me anymore. I don't think I've booted up my Macbook, at least I'll be able to get good resale value out of it
